The Forensic Science program said goodbye to two of its founders and original faculty members, Ian Tebbett, Ph.D., and Donna Wielbo, Ph.D. Both of them were early adopters of online education, who saw its potential to advance the careers of working forensic scientists and other professionals.
Alumni Joseph Pasternak has worked in forensics for nearly 20-years. He began his career at the City of Phoenix Police Department Crime Lab after completing his bachelor’s degree in biology from Arizona State University. He then moved onto the State of Montana Forensic Science Division where he now serves as the DNA Supervisor and Technical Leader.
After five consecutive years of ascension, the University of Florida’s performance has positioned UF among the nation’s top five ranked public universities, according to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings released today, marking an extraordinary milestone in the university’s history.
The University of Florida College of Pharmacy has maintained its Top 5 national research ranking, according to an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, or AACP, report released June 2.
The University of Florida College of Pharmacy conferred Pharm.D. degrees for 265 graduates of the class of 2021, May 15. Also joining the celebration were 53 graduates from the class of 2020 who missed out on their in-person commencement ceremony last spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Age is nothing more than a number to Robert Blok. At 76, he earned his Master of Pharmacy in Science degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy — earning the distinction of being UF’s oldest graduate among more than 8,000 students in the class of 2019.
