FULLY ACCREDITED
The University of Florida is a Level VI institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. UF is also accredited by SACSCOC to offer certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. This prestigious accreditation includes all online programs and distance learning programs.
SACSCOC is an institutional accreditor that employs an accountable and transparent peer review process that assures educational quality and integrity, fosters continuous self-improvement, and promotes student success.
UF’s accreditation is reaffirmed every ten years; the process includes reports demonstrating compliance with SACSCOC principles and standards and a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). In addition to the reports, the reaffirmation process includes extensive evaluation of compliance by an off-site peer review, an on-site peer review, and the final review by the SACSCOC Board of Trustees. In 2024, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees reaffirmed UF’s accreditation with no additional information requested until 2034.
