Anna Delaney to Present at AAFS in February

Join the Forensic Science online graduate team at the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS) Annual Conference this February (9-14) in New Orleans, LA. The AAFS Annual Conference is the largest meeting of the year for the forensic science community – providing networking, collaboration and professional development for attendees. Join AAFS for their mission of “Back to Basics: The Fundamentals of Forensic Science” to hear presentations and join workshops with forensic scientists across the globe.

We are also excited to share that UF’s Forensic Science online graduate program Adjunct Professor, Anna Delaney, D.F.S., M.A., will be presenting on “Scattered Man: The Curious Case of Captain Henry Goodsell.” Additional presentations include “Forensic Odontology in Battlefield Archaeology: An Analysis of Revolutionary War Remains From Red Bank Battlefield in New Jersey and “America 250: Forensic Science and the Hessian Soldiers’ Remains “Intrenched” in a Mass Grave at Red Bank Battlefield, Gloucester County, New Jersey.”

Dr. Delaney is a Forensic Anthropologist with the New Jersey State Police, Office of Forensic Science Forensic Anthropology Unit. Her career in the field of forensics started in 2004 with the New Jersey State Police. She has worked in Mitochondrial DNA Lab, CODIS DNA Lab and has supervised the Forensic Anthropology Unit since 2017. She is also a guest lecturer for several New Jersey universities, the University of Florida, Mercer County Community College and provides training for law enforcement agencies. Dr. Delaney populates the NamUs database with information on New Jersey’s Unidentified and Missing Persons cases, modifies NCIC records for missing and unidentified and assists the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit with the retrieval of medical and dental information. She works closely with forensic odontologists, medical examiners’ offices and local, state and federal agencies.
